Two songwriters sharing a show at a wonderful new music venue. In person and also broadcast (ticketed) online). Kim is a wonderful songwriter and sublime guitar player.
It's another excellent Somerville Songwriter Sessions show -- I'm sharing the show with Phil Henry and Caroline Cotter. We'll each play a mini individual set in the first half; after a break we'll play in-the-round. The Armory Cafe has great food, and the venue has free parking. $15 at the door.
Open Mike Feature
Poughkeepsie Chapter of The Hudson Valley Folk Guild, 67 South Randolph Ave., Poughkeepsie NY
I'll be the open mike feature (playing for about a half hour) at this venerable open mike. $6 ($5 members/seniors) and you can play a tune too! Email HVFGPoughkeepsie@hudsonvalleyfolkguild.org for more info.
I'll be playing live -- in a concert format with other excellent songwriters -- for the "local New England songwriters show" on the Folk Revival, Nick Noble's excellent radio show. Tune in (or maybe even show up to see it in person)!
I host -- and play at -- the longest-running song circle dedicated to the music of the late, great, Dave Carter. If you're at the festival, stop by. This year we'll be at the Dark and Stormy website (there will be signs for the song circle ahead of time -- scope out the location in advance). Come play, sing, or just listen!
Songwriters in the Round - Beth DeSombre, Chris LaVancher, Carl Beverly
One Broadway Collaborative, 1 Broadway, Unit 11C, Lawrence MA
Three songwriters swapping songs -- it's been AGES since I've played an in-person show, and these are great folks to share the stage with. One Broadway Collaborative is a wonderful welcoming community space, worth supporting. In-person AND livestream, so you can tune in no matter where you are.

The Somerville Songwriter Sessions returns! In the first half of the show each artist will play a brief solo set; in the second half we'll play in-the-round. Suggested donation $10. Honored to be part of the celebration of Nick Noble's 700th hosting of the Folk Revival. I'll play for 20 minutes (including at least one duet with Nick) at just after 8 p.m.
Some of the area's leading songwriters perform their original songs. Includes a song challenge: each songwriter will debut a newly-written song on a theme suggested by last month's audience ("Who is left to witness?"). The Serendipity Cafe has great homemade food and provides a welcoming listening environment. https://www.facebook.com/events/488919131817796/

It's my annual tradition co-hosting (and playing live on) Nick Noble's first show of the year, dedicated to celebrating musicians who died in the previous year. It's a genuinely joyous show -- worth tuning in.

All three of the occasional hosts of this series (me, Dan & Faith, and Dan Tappan) team up for an in-the-round show with a songwriting prompt. The Serendipity cafe is a gem of a place, run by great people who make amazing food and create a welcoming listening space.
